Beso Gasparian and her family were getting ready for bed when they were informed about where the soldiers were. Beso's mother took her and her 8 year old brother to the hill on top of the village to hide their valuables, and wait for the rest of her family. That night the soldiers came, they started killing everyone. Beso, her mom, and brother watched as the soldiers stabbed her nephew, and beheaded her father. They waited on top of the hill for a day before going back to the village to look for their bodies. The next night they headed down to bury their family that had passed away. Luckily the soldiers didn't come back, so they survived the genocide.
